Encrypted on Your Device
Your diary entries, patterns, and session history are encrypted locally using Web Crypto (AES-GCM) with a key derived from your passcode. Without it, no one — including us — can read your data.
Your Autonomy
Nothing is saved unless you choose to. Tap Save to Diary when a session matters, delete entries anytime, and end sessions on your terms. Vela is a companion, not therapy — you're always in the driver's seat.
No Recovery, No Backdoor
Forgot your passcode? Your data stays sealed. That's real security — we can't help you back in, and no one else can either. Your data belongs only to you.
Your Diary, Your Rhythm
When a session matters, tap Save to Diary — that's the only time it's persisted, encrypted with your passcode. Skip the save and the conversation is discarded when you leave.
Future Ara
A companion support portal for the people you trust — with your consent, they'll be able to learn how to show up for you, access only what you choose to share, and offer support that actually helps.
